Appointments: Growth in the corporate and commercial areas sees two new partners at law firm

LAW firm McCormicks has appointed two new partners. James Martin and Richard Crabb, who have both been with the Harrogate-based firm for four years, have been promoted as part of the growth of the firm’s corporate and commercial department.

Neil Hudgell Law has appointed Brett Dennis as its new marketing manager. The firm, which has offices in Hull and Leeds, specialises in claims for personal injury, medical accident and professional negligence.

Sheffield International Venues has appointed a customer relationship manager. Gary Marsh takes the position after eight years at SIV, previously working as marketing manager at Ponds Forge, Sheffield City Hall, and, most recently, iceSheffield.

Applebys solicitors has appointed senior litigation executive Simon Crossley. Mr Crossley joins the Huddersfield-based firm after previously working for Irwin Mitchell and Graysons Solicitors.

Law firm Andrew Jackson has promoted three of its lawyers. Sarah Pether and Ben Hobden, who work in the Hull-based firm’s litigation and dispute resolution department, have been promoted to associate and senior solicitor respectively. Shipping and transport lawyer David Hall has been promoted to associate.

Rensburg Sheppards Investment Management, in Sheffield, has made five internal staff promotions within its investment team. Nick Bolton has been promoted to senior investment director, Dominic Watson, Owen Wright and Nicola Morris to investment directors and Andrew Ryde becomes an associate investment director.

Estate agent Dacre Son & Hartley has expanded its Ilkley operation with the appointment of three new members of staff.

Sally Drysdale joins as a senior sales negotiator, Stephanie Render, who previously worked for Yorkshire Forward, has been appointed marketing manager, while Sophie Smyth joins the land and development arm of Dacres Commercial as an associate.

Emma Eastwood has been promoted to associate director at city living specialists Morgans. She started working for the Leeds-based firm 12 years ago as a property administrator and has been responsible for letting several thousand apartments in the city.

Telecoms supply specialist Rocom has appointed a new member of staff to help build closer customer relationships and drive sales further forward.

Leanne Baeza previously worked at Rocom in headset sales for over seven years and re-joins the Leeds-based company following a two-year spell in account management and field sales with an office supplies business.
