Appointments: Investec boosts senior team with director

Investec Wealth & Investment has boosted its senior team with the appointment of Jonathan Marsden as senior investment director.

Mr Marsden, who will be based in Leeds, was formerly head of the Leeds office of Kleinwort Benson following a position as financial adviser at AWD Chase de Vere.

Terry Goodall has joined property agent Dunlop Heywood in Leeds as director of rating after more than 21 years with the Valuation Office Agency across the North.

Senior surveyor Kirsty Reid has also joined the firm’s Leeds office from Colliers.

Marketing and design agency The Factory has appointed two new team members. Simon Ainley, senior web developer, joins the Leeds-based firm after working as a developer for several digital agencies in Yorkshire, while Lee Brooke has been appointed senior designer to head up the offline design team.

He joins from RW Reprographics and previously worked at Opus Design and Prosport Media. Factory director Tim Chorlton has become client services director, which will see him heading the marketing strategy and development for clients.

Motor group JCT600 has promoted Richard Hargraves to operations director. He first joined the Bradford-based firm in 1994 as a used car buyer.

He moved to Lancashire to become dealer principal of a BMW/Mini dealership in 2001 before returning to JCT600 five years later as Porsche brand director. In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Bentley and Lotus dealerships which represent around 50 per cent of the group. Family-owned supermarket group E H Booth & Co has appointed Yorkshireman Chris Dee as chief operating officer. Mr Dee, who became trading director in 2009, has worked for Booths over the last 17 years and started his career as wines and spirits buyer.

Manufacturer and distributor Multibrands International has created a new marketing division. The Bradford-based team will be headed up by Oliver Denton whose previous roles include marketing and communications manager at the British Council of Shopping Centres. Optician Viewpoint has appointed Nick Lawrence-Downs as an optometrist. Mr Lawrence-Downs joins the York-based firm from Vision Express in York.
