Appointments: Legal trio promoted to partners as part of firm's corporate structural change

Law firm Rollits has promoted three lawyers to partner.

Following the firm's move to become a Limited Liability Partnership, Caroline Hardcastle, Donna Ingleby and Tom Morrison have been appointed partners.

Ms Ingleby, who joined the firm, which has offices in Hull and York, two years ago, becomes a partner in the firm's employment group as a specialist in contentious and non-contentious employment issues.

Tom Morrison becomes a partner in Rollits' commercial group, advising on contractual matters, intellectual property, data protection, freedom of information, information technology and

e-commerce.

Meanwhile, Ms Hardcastle becomes a partner within Rollits' dispute resolution department dealing with a range of commercial disputes.

Law firm Clarion has strengthened its property team with the appointment of Elise Daly as legal executive.

With 10 years' experience in the property sector, she has experience of land acquisition, land assembly, commercial and residential development work and public sector projects.

A director at leisure operator Sheffield International Venues (SIV) has taken on one of the top roles at the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISRM).

Lorenzo Clark has been elected to the post of Yorkshire and Humber chairman for the next two years, taking over from Chris Spargo.

Mr Clark, director of operations for SIV, steps up from his previous position as vice-chair of the ISRM Yorkshire and Humber.

The ISRM is a national professional body for those involved exclusively in providing, managing, operating and developing sport and recreation services in the UK.

Turnaround investment firm Endless has promoted Aidan Robson, James Woolley, Indra Valeinis and Lucia Villamor.

Mr Robson and Mr Woolley move to investment director and portfolio director respectively, with Ms Valeinis promoted to associate director and Ms Villamor to investment manager at the Leeds-based company.

James Haddleton, executive partner at law firm DWF, is the new president of Leeds Law Society.

He took over the role from Deborah Green, chief executive of Marketing Leeds, at the society's annual meeting.

Mr Haddleton, a commercial litigation specialist, is responsible for leading DWF in Yorkshire, co-ordinating its operational and business development activities and championing the firm's values.

Accountants Gareth Baigent and Hayley Crosby, have been appointed president and chairman, respectively, of the Leeds Charted Accountants Students' Society.

Mr Baigent, who is a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Leeds, is taking over the role as president following a year as vice president in 2008-9 and a position as chair during 2005-6. He succeeds Jen Grafham, of Kaplan Financial.

Ms Crosby, a senior associate at PwC, will be taking over as chairman having been vice-chairman for the previous year. Hayley succeeds Dan Kelsall, of Zolfo Cooper.

The LCASS is the society which represents individuals training to be chartered accountants in the Leeds area.
