Appointments: New associate director to add strength to Baker Tilly team

Accountancy firm Baker Tilly has bolstered its national forensic services team with the appointment of Jackie Gillson as associate director. Ms Gillson joins the Leeds-based firm from KPMG.

Accountancy firm RSM Tenon has appointed Peter Cass to its tax team as associate director. He joins the firm’s Leeds office from the Leeds office of Baker Tilly and has previously worked at Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young.

Law firm Dickinson Dees has strengthened its pensions team in Yorkshire with the appointment of solicitor Tamsin Bush.

She began her training at magic circle firm Clifford Chance in London in August 2005, qualifying into the pensions department in August 2007. She joins the team in York.

The firm is due to move its Yorkshire office to Leeds next year.

Freshney Place Shopping Centre has appointed Matt Lundie as customer service and security manager.

Mr Lundie joined Freshney Place in Grimsby as a security officer in May 2009 after previously working as a member of the British Army, where he served as a Royal Military police officer, and Humberside Police as a civilian investigator.

Specialist wealth planning company IM Asset Management has appointed Colin Rowe as its business development director.

Colin joins Sheffield-based IM Asset Management, a subsidiary of law firm Irwin Mitchell, from Santander where he was divisional manager across Wales and the Midlands.

Web security and filtering specialist Smoothwall has launched a new division specifically tailored towards the health and emergency services markets and has appointed Michael Peers to head up the department.

Mr Peers has spent the last eight years selling and supplying network security products to both the NHS and police.
