Appointments: New marketing manager named for the Ridings Shopping Centre

Law firm Keeble Hawson has appointed lawyer Neil Large as a partner in its corporate team. Mr Large, formerly a partner in the law firm Davidson Large in Harrogate, will be based in the firm’s Leeds office.

Engineering consultancy AECOM has appointed Mark Studholme as strategic business development director (Europe) for its water business. Mr Studholme, who was previously managing director of Biwater Services, will be responsible for driving AECOM’s growth plans in the water sector throughout Europe, and will be based in the Sheffield office.

The Ridings Shopping Centre in Wakefield has appointed Victoria Clapham as its new marketing manager. Her last role was communications manager for the Big Lottery Fund in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Tim Bottrill, partner at Knight Frank’s Sheffield office, has been appointed to vice chairman of the Sheffield Property and Regeneration Committee (SPARC) committee.

SPARC, run by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, is the focus for local and regional property and regeneration businesses to represent Chamber members.

Neil Howes has been promoted to partner in Mills & Reeve’s insurance practice.

He will lead the insurance team in Leeds, which is a key part of the firm’s national insurance group that has over 100 lawyers and 12 other partners. He was previously based in the firm’s London office.

Chris Hill, general practice partner at independent chartered accountants, Hawsons, has been elected vice-president of the Sheffield and District Society of Chartered Accountants.

Mr Hill, who is based in Sheffield, will take over as president in May 2013.

Transport and logistics recruitment firm Driver Hire is recruiting more staff to keep pace with current trading and expected growth.

The Bradford-based firm, which provides temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to organisations, has appointed two people to its national accounts team. Alisdair Dunphy joins from Hay’s International Healthcare as national sales manager. Also new to the team is graduate Kam Gosal, junior account manager.

Smailes Goldie Chartered Accountants has made a promotion. Steve Bramall, who trained and qualified at the firm after joining in 2001, is now an associate. The company has offices in Hull and Barton-upon-Humber,

Drinks dispenser firm Brewfitt has appointed Ed Turner to the newly created role of sales manager.

He will head up the sales team and activities for the Huddersfield-based firm. Mr Brewfitt has been involved at various levels of the drinks dispense market for 25 years, both technically and commercially.

Dacres Commercial is expanding its planning department with the appointment of Richard Mowat and Teresa Brooks as senior planning consultants. Mr Mowat joins the Leeds office from RPS and Ms Brooks, also based in Leeds, previously worked at Savills in London.
