Appointments: Providing care in people's own homes

Dianne Parker has been appointed as manager of HICA Group's homecare division, covering Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Lancashire.

She joins HICA after over 20 years in the care sector, working as a registered nurse and a care home manager.

The Hull-based firm provides care to 1,300 clients, visiting their homes to provide everything from a half-hour visit through to round-the-clock care.

The employment law team at Ward Hadaway has been boosted by the recruitment of solicitor Gemma Sherbourne. She has over five years' specialist experience in employment law and joins Ward Hadaway's Leeds office from Lupton Fawcett.

Domino Commercial Interiors has appointed a new director as the Sheffield-based company prepares for expansion. Sandor Polyhos has previously worked on design and fit-out projects at 10 Downing Street and the Palace of Westminster.

His appointment will see him developing an important new brand for the company called Workspace DNA.

Specialist financier Absolute Invoice Finance has appointed Andy Redman as associate director.

Mr Redman rejoins the firm after three and a half years with the asset-based lending team at Barclays in Leeds. In his new role, he will focus on clients with an annual turnover of 2m-20m at the firm's Cleckheaton office.

Christian Robb and Fiona Bellamy have been promoted to associate level at Dacres Commercial.

Mr Robb, a chartered surveyor, works within the planning and land department team at Dacres' Ilkley office. Ms Bellamy, who is based at the company's Leeds city centre office, is part of the firm's valuation department and primarily works within the healthcare sector.

Tim Curran has been promoted to deputy managing director with Harrogate-based agency Quest PR.

Mr Curran, a former BBC journalist, was formerly head of the business-to-business teams at major Leeds-based agencies Brahm and Ptarmigan. He joined Quest last June as an account director.

Richard Carr has been promoted to managing director of JM Glendinning Life and Pensions after joining the insurance broker five years ago. The former sales director, together with co-director Andy Holder, will create a plan to make sure the Leeds-based firm is well prepared for the stringent new FSA regulations.
