Appointments: Stickyeyes takes on 16 new staff members to support its increasing roster of clients

Business rescue and recovery specialist Begbies Traynor has appointed Mark Sims as restructuring manager.

Mr Sims, who will be based in Sheffield, spent four years with Hart Shaw Corporate Finance in Sheffield, before moving to Butterfield Fulcrum on the Cayman Islands in 2008, where he worked as a senior fund accountant.

In his new role, he will work within the restructuring team, providing turnaround and restructuring solutions for businesses.

Law firm Cobbetts has appointed Paul Matthews as a director to lead the national development of the firm’s regulatory team within the litigation practice.

Mr Matthews will be based in the Leeds office but will operate across all of the firm’s offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London. Paul joins Cobbetts from the regulatory team at DWF.

Financial planners The Taylor Oliver Partnership have welcomed a new member to the team.

Claire Goodwin joins the company in Chesterfield as a paraplanner. She has previously worked at Aviva and also ECS and Guardian Wealth Management.

Hawes Auction Mart has appointed chartered surveyor James Alderson to its team. He will be based in the Auction Mart office in Hawes, North Yorkshire, where he will be responsible for expanding and running the company’s new property services enterprise. He previously worked at George F White in Bedale.

Search marketing agency Stickyeyes has taken on 16 new members of staff to support its growing client roster.

The new recruits span all areas of the Leeds-based agency including natural and paid search, social media, online PR, development and supporting services such as marketing, sales and recruitment. The team expansion takes current headcount to 67.

Commercial property consultancy WSB Property Consultants has boosted its retail and leisure agency team with the appointment of Sam Vinall.

Mr Vinall joins an existing team of seven and will provide retail and leisure advisory services throughout the north of England and the midlands, with particular emphasis on regional acquisitions for clients including Whitbread, KFC, LNT Group, Xercise 4 Less and Costa Coffee.

Richard Standeven has joined Ryden’s property management group in Leeds.

He previously worked with Barnsley Council as a student surveyor after graduating last year from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in property development and real estate.

Also joining the team in Leeds is placement student Dan Smith who will be based in the building consultancy group.

Bramall Construction has appointed a new contracts director to oversee the delivery of millions of pounds worth of contracts across Yorkshire, the Humber and East Midlands.

Brendon Hutchinson joins the Rotherham-based firm to manage the delivery of contracts worth around £120m. He was previously operations director for Lovell.

Commercial solicitors Shulmans has promoted four of its staff through its career development scheme.

Lee Stephens, Kathryn Wood, Jennifer Chambers and Rob Lucas have all been made associates through the Leeds firm’s Progression in Practice initiative, which evaluates individuals against specific criteria, continuously developing a career development plan.
