Appointments: Yorkshire Bank appoints business partner for team

Sarah Gwynne has been appointed business partner in the Kirklees and Calderdale team at Yorkshire Bank's West Yorkshire Financial Solutions Centre.

Ms Gwynne, who has been with Yorkshire Bank for 11 years, previously worked in asset finance at the Bradford-based West Yorkshire FSC with a special focus on Calderdale and Kirklees.

Dried food specialist Symington's, which produces brands such as Ainsley Harriott, James Martin, and Granose, has appointed Andrew Wade as marketing manager.

Mr Wade, who will be responsible for the James Martin homebaking range, joins the Leeds-based business from a similar role at United Biscuits.

Law firm Irwin Mitchell's business and private client team is expanding with the addition of Katriona Swan as an associate.

Ms Swan, who has experience in both private practice and in the public sector, will head the public law team in Leeds.

Telemarketer Ant Marketing has further strengthened its workforce after appointing two managers to key positions.

Quarmby Construction has appointed David Jones to head its business development team.

Mr Jones will work with the Ilkley-based firm's senior management team to further improve company profile and identify new areas of business.

He is chairman of the Sheffield branch of the Forum for The Built Environment and sits on the regional committee for Leeds and Sheffield.

Law firm Walker Morris has strengthened its commercial group with the appointment of associate Robert Goldstone.

Mr Goldstone, who previously worked at SJ Berwin, joins the Leeds-based firm to specialise in commercial, IT and intellectual property work including technology related transactions. He also advises on the commercial and intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs) and joint ventures.

Rolawn, the UK's largest turf grower and leading topsoil supplier, has appointed David Mumby as financial director.

Mr Mumby joins the York-based firm from his previous role as financial director of publishing company Polestar UK Print.
