Asda gets into a fever with tonic launch in 400 stores in the UK

Upmarket tonic water Fever-Tree is to be sold in 400 Asda stores, marking Fever-Tree's sixth partnership with a UK supermarket.

Fever-Tree, which dubs itself the world’s leading natural premium mixer brand, said its Indian Tonic and Naturally Light range will be sold in Asda stores across the UK.

Fever-Tree ​said its ​tonic is the UK’s only product to be 100​ per cent​ natural, with no saccharin, aspartame or artificial preservatives.

The firm ​said it ​has established itself as the mixer of choice for premium spirit drinkers around the world, with co-founders Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow travelling as far afield as the Congo and Ivory Coast to source natural ingredients for their drinks.

Andrew Ronald, Fever-Tree’s UK sales manager​, said: “We are very excited to be working with A​sda​. With over 500 stores, A​sda​ represents a huge opportunity for us to increase our footprint across the UK.

Established in 2005​,​ Fever-Tree now sells a range of premium tonic waters and mixers to 58 overseas markets. The ​c​ompany was recently recognised by bartenders around the world as the ​“​best​-​selling​“​ and ​“top trending”​ tonic water in Drinks International’s Best Bar Brands Report.

​Fever-Tree said consumer surveys by The Craft Gin Club and The Gin Foundry showed ​that Fever-Tree ​is the tonic of choice for gin drinkers. Fever-Tree ​now ​has 13 mixers that are available to buy from Asda, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Morrisons​.​
