Awards will honour the brightest and best PR firms in the region

PUBLIC relations teams who have built campaigns around sailors and super heroes are in contention for honours at the 2015 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards.

The shortlisted campaigns show the strength in depth of the region’s public relations community.

Companies who have found a place on this year’s shortlist include Umpf, Acceleris, The Right Agency and Cream.

Other agency teams recognised include Finn, Approach PR and Aberfield Communications and, from the in-house world, Nisa Retail, Northern Powergrid and the Department for Work and Pensions.

Commenting on the announcement, Paul Amourdedieu MCIPR, the chairman of the CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire group, who is also a senior manager at TD Direct Investing, said: “I’m hugely proud of the diversity in PR and marketing communications we are offering as a region.

“The quality and standard of entries from both agency and in-house teams continues to improve – reflecting our growing position as a centre of excellence for public relations.

“This year’s awards ceremony intends to match the entries in both quality and sophistication. For the first time we will be hosting the event at Aspire in Leeds, with a splendid menu prepared by BBC Masterchef finalist and head chef, Tom Rennolds and we’re promised some spectacular entertainment.

Guests will gather in Leeds for this year’s event where talent will be recognised in categories including ‘outstanding consultancy’ and ‘outstanding young communicator’.The results of the 2015 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie awards night on Thursday November 26 2015 at Aspire, Leeds.
