Kevin O’Connor, Baker Tilly’s regional managing partner for Yorkshire and the North East said: “This is an exciting time for Baker Tilly in Leeds as our recent merger with RSM Tenon has given us a strong presence in the local market. Lee will be a great addition, and he brings with him a wealth of experience and local knowledge which will be of great benefit to our current and future client base.”

Elsewhere, Hull-based recruiter Smailes Goldie Financial Recruitment (SGFR) has appointed new director Shaun Brown to head up its operations and drive the business forward. He previously worked at Robert Half International, where he was a division manager.

Meanwhile, six new therapists have joined the team at Studio Pilates as the Ilkley-based business expands its customer offering. Ruth Skinner, Lauren Seward, Cassandra Bowley, Kim Holmes, Amanda Fellows and Jayne Diggles have all come on board as part of a programme which enables therapists starting out in business or who don’t have their own premises to rent space at the studio on a flexible basis.

Amber McShane, director at Studio Pilates, said: “We have been keen to offer well being and therapy treatments for some time now and as part of our recent refurbishment and expansion programme we have created three newly established treatment rooms which can be rented on flexible terms and can fit in with our therapists’ existing business demands.”
