Belgravium announces orders for tablet device

DATA capture company Belgravium Technologies has announced that its subsidiary has secured orders for 250 tablet devices.

The Bradford-based group, which makes and sells hand-held computers and software for companies to check on their stock, said that its wholly owned subsidiary Touchstar Technologies has launched the TouchPC Hawk.

Touchstar has secured the first orders for 250 of the tablet computer terminals to be delivered during the second half of 2012.

Belgravium said that using advanced and secure radio technology the units can operate using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or 3G-HSPA radio technology to give very fast data transfer capabilities and can be configured and used for a range of applications such as vehicle safety checks, equipment checks, inventory controls, diagnostics, signature capture as well as real time voice and the transfer of data such as schedule updates, queries and the delivery data.
