Bestobell Marine valves to be used onboard eco-friendly ships

high-pressure valves from Sheffield will be used in ships powered by a more environmentally-friendly fuel.

Bestobell Marine has won a contract to provide Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) with specialist valves for use in liquified natural gas (LNG)-powered ships.

The South Korean company is building some of the first marine vehicles to use LNG, which is considered less harmful to the environment than traditional diesel fuel.
