Bettys appoints Simon Eyles as new managing director

Bettys has announced the appointment of Simon Eyles as its new managing director.

Mr Eyles joined Bettys & Taylors Group in 2011 as marketing director for Taylors of Harrogate.

His new role sees him moving across the group to become Bettys MD and a member of the collaborative chief executive set-up the firm has.

Mr Eyles said: “I have joined Bettys at a time when we are looking towards our centenary in 2019 and choosing how we will remain an experience that people across the world seek out for generations to come.

“My aim is for Bettys to continue to be a thriving, agile, successful, growing business.

Mr Eyles has spent the majority of his career working with big household brands in the food and retail industry.

Prior to joining Bettys & Taylors he was head of brand at ASDA, marketing director at McCain foods and also worked on the Lurpak brand at Arla Foods.

He is succeeded in his old role by Dom Dwight, who was formerly Taylors head of brand creative.

Earliert his month The Yorkshire Post reported that the business had boosted its urnover by 5 per cent and posted pre-tax profts of £9.6m for the year ending October 2015.
