BG says CFO Ashley Almanza to step down
GAS firm BG Group said Ashley Almanza will step down as chief financial officer at the end of March 2011 and that Fabio de Oliveira Barbosa will take up the position.
Mr Barbosa was CFO of Brazil's Vale, the world's second-biggest mining company, until June 2010. He worked for seven years at the Brazilian Ministry of Finance before joining Vale in 2002.
He has already joined BG and his appointment to the board is subject to the receipt of a UK visa.
BG said Almanza had already indicated his desire to leave the group within the next two years.
