Big names boost revenue as Proactis 
pushes earnings above expectations

A number of high-profile new client wins have boosted results at software solutions company Proactis.

The Wetherby-based company recently signed up bakery chain ​Gregg’s, the ​National Trust, property firm ​Jones Lang La Salle, French bank ​BNP Paribas, Strathclyde University​ and ​Solihull College.

The group said that revenue rose 26 per cent to £10.2m in the year to July 31, boosted by the acquisition of EGS in February and of Intesource in June.

It also bought another firm Intelligent Capture in August, a day after its financial year end.

Earnings of £2m exceeded expectations by 11 per cent and were up 62 per cent on last year following cost synergies and its high-margin acquisitions.

Proactis enters the new year with a record order book of £14.3m.

​Rod Jones, the group’s CEO, said: “Proactis is now effectively double the size of a year ago as a result of its three acquisitions and the group is trading well in advance of today’s reported results. The board continues to review appropriate M&A opportunities as part of its growth strategy.

“Our core businesses are performing well, with good rates of order intake and levels of profitability.

“In addition, customer retention, a core element of our strategy, is excellent.”

​Pre-tax profits fell ​from £300,000 to £150,000 following one-off costs associated with the acquisitions.
