Big names lined up for the Mafia summit

AJAZ Ahmed, the founder of internet company Freeserve, and James Sommerville, co-founder of creative agency ATTIK are the latest names lined up to attend The Yorkshire Mafia Conference next year.

The pair will sit on the Billion Pound Panel at the conference in March 2011. They will join Dean Hoyle, chairman of Huddersfield Town Football Club and former owner of Card Factory, plus other leading business figures from the Yorkshire region, to offer advice and guidance to delegates at the event.

Mr Ahmed said: "The Yorkshire Mafia's reach and influence has grown considerably and as such has become the voice for Yorkshire business.

"Its concept, application and execution of services are first class and this inaugural conference is a much-needed boost to the Yorkshire business environment. The landscape is still harsh for us all out there but these guys are doing something about it and I'm proud to be part of the conference and the group as a whole."

Mr Sommerville added: "For tomorrow's successful businesses, it will not necessarily be about price, mpg, ram, speed, dpi, location, quantity, plant, tools, 24/7 or last year's bottom line ... nor will it be about the past, the size, the office decor, the client list, the bank, the PR or the advertising. It will be about 'people'."
