The Wakefield-based business said prices will extend to £80 for dresses and the collection will include 56 items in bigger sizes ranging from 16 to 32.

The relaunch later this month follows consultations with focus groups which reported strong demand for the label.

Bonmarché said the collection will place particular emphasis on fabric, exclusive prints, fit and quality, offering flattering shapes and outfit solutions for the fuller figure.

The collection will be launched in 23 Bonmarché stores and the company believes there is potential to launch more standalone Ann Harvey concessions in the future.

In addition, customers will be able to buy clothes online at www.annharveyfashion.co.uk.

Beth Butterwick, chief executive of Bonmarché, said: “We are thrilled to be re-launching this beautiful British heritage brand.

“We see Ann Harvey as the perfect complement to the existing Bonmarché product offer. Both market data and our own consumer focus groups have informed us that there is a strong demand for beautifully designed clothing, at well positioned prices, across a wide breadth of larger sizes.”

She said the Ann Harvey offer, alongside Bonmarché, will enable the chain to create a one-stop destination for this important mature, female demographic.

“We are really excited by the re-launch, and are immensely proud of our in-house design team, who have worked tirelessly to ensure that the Ann Harvey range meets and exceeds our customers’ wishes,” she said.

“We have gained excellent feedback on the designs so far.”
