The new B&Q store will offer customers a bigger range of DIY essentials and enable them to combine different shopping activities into a single trip.

It will offer a broad range of paint brands and colours in a variety of finishes, both pre-mixed on shelf and at the new store’s paint mixing desk.

Sam Bell, store manager at B&Q, said: “We’re really excited to be launching our new store within Asda Sheffield Drakehouse.

“We look forward to welcoming Sheffield residents and making it easier for them to combine shopping for their home improvement needs with their regular shopping trip to Asda.

“We’ve got a great selection of DIY essentials, as well as a paint mixing desk where customers can create their own paint colours using our colour-matching service.

“My team and I are there to help with products and services in store, such as click and collect, as well as to help with shopping from our broader range of products online at diy.com.

“Ensuring customers’ safety is our number one priority and we have the same strict social distancing measures in place at our new store, as at all other B&Q stores. During current times, we ask that customers shop responsibly and follow the Tier 3/Tier 2 social distancing guidelines.”

Darren Underhill, store manager at Asda Sheffield Drakehouse, said: “The convenience of picking up different essentials in a single trip helps customers to reduce the number of journeys they make.

“The introduction of B&Q to the store gives customers the option to combine their food shop with the opportunity to grab an essential home improvement item, get expert advice, or click and collect a parcel from Asda Sheffield Drakehouse.”
