He told The Yorkshire Post that Pacifica “is a fascinating and unique business, built over the last 15 years largely by recommendation”.

The £25m-turnover company works with a number of blue chip clients including the AA, Argos and the Co-operative Group.

Pacifica’s range of services also includes manufacturers’ guarantees and extended warranty products and partnerships with energy firms through the Government’s ECO and Green Deal schemes.

The company, which is owned by its founders, employs 300 people across six sites in the UK, including a hub for home emergency engineers in Sheffield. It has offices in Germany and Korea.
