BMAM is a subsidiary of Brooks Macdonald Group, an independent specialist wealth management group, which has funds under management of £3.455bn.

Nick Holmes, joint managing director of BMAM, said: “We are delighted to have opened in York. It is a strategic centre for us and bridges a gap that existed in our regional office network. We have many clients and professional introducers [independent financial advisers] in the region and we are now able to provide an even better, localised service to them.”

Claire Bennison, regional director of BMAM’s Manchester office, will also have responsibility for the York office and will continue to manage clients’ investment portfolios.

She said: “We pride ourselves on the quality of our service to clients as well as our professional introducers. We have built a strong reputation within Manchester and elsewhere in the UK and I very much hope to grow our business further in Yorkshire and the North East.”
