Burn Bridge Lane set to re-open after more than three month closure

A closure on theÂ A61 Leeds Road into Harrogate is set to end this evening after work on the road was delayed.

Burn Bridge Lane has been closed since January 8

Burn Bridge Lane will be re-opened at roughly 5pm today (Friday, April 13) following improvement work being carried out on the road by North Yorkshire County Council.

Temporary traffic signals will be installed next week, as contractors are due to return to install further traffic signs.

The road has been closed since Monday January 8 and was due to be completed within eight weeks. However the council say that due to the poor weather and additional work being identified this had to be extended.
