This move by the packaging supplier means its Northern branch has expanded from 20,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft. The new site includes a fully enclosed yard and further room for stock holding in an effort to improve service and delivery for Kite Packaging’s customers based in the North of England.
The building was built in July and has been fully fitted with office space, a staff canteen and a four-door warehouse. Kite has also invested £80,000 recently in its transport division in the North, increasing its own truck fleet from three to four.
The firm said that its Northern branch, now based at Aldwarke Wharf Business Park, has added five more staff over the last couple of months, bringing its total head count to 20.
The company said that it hopes to welcome more new recruits in 2014.
An official opening was held to mark the relocation of the Northern branch to the new site in Rotherham.
