Businesses urged to get involved in diploma for recruits to construction sector

CONSTRUCTION businesses are being encouraged to help develop new recruits to the industry.

Leeds Chamber of Commerce and law firm Pinsent Masons hosted an event to attract more businesses to get involved in delivering the

construction and built environment diploma.

Companies that are working with the Leeds College of Building to deliver the diploma, including Wates, Accent and Lovell, gave examples of how their contribution to the diploma has benefited their businesses.

Businesses are being given the opportunity to help influence the course curriculum and provide practical support, mentoring, case studies, work experience and training to ensure that students are equipped with industry-specific skills.
