Picking up his award in front of the 1,000-strong audience, Mr Caddick said: “I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with some of Yorkshire’s greatest business and property personalities, the likes of which I doubt will ever be seen again.”
He added: “I’ve also been involved with sporting icons...All of these people and more have had a big influence on my life and it has been an absolute privilege to spend time with them.
“The challenge now is to find the property icons of the future and I have no doubt that with the quality of young property personalities in the room tonight, they will emerge.

The event also saw charity Autism Angels call on the region’s property industry to donate their time, money and resources to help create new space for its therapy programmes.
