Campbell will be "sorely missed" at Fenner

ENGINEERING firm Fenner today said that non-executive director David Campbell has died.

Mr Campbell died on November 29. Colin Cooke, chairman of the firm, which is based in Hessle, near Hull, paid tribute to a "much liked and respected" man.

Mr Campbell had been a non-executive director of Fenner and chairman of the Remuneration Committee since November 2005.

Mr Cooke said: "His loss will be deeply felt by everyone who worked with David in the company and he will be much missed. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this very sad time.

"He was a much liked and respected man. He had served the company well over the last five years and will be sorely missed by all his colleagues."

In the interests of continuity David Buttfield has agreed to stay on as senior independent director for a further three years from the AGM in January 2011.

Alan Wood will take over as chair of the Remuneration Committee.
