Care support group joins the portfolio at business park

A BUSINESS park near York is gearing for growth after adding a national client to its portfo-lio.

National Human Support Group, which trades as Housing Support and Home Care Support, has moved to Clifton Park on York’s Outer Ring Road.

The business, which provides care for the elderly across the UK, has signed a five-year lease to let 1,238ft of space at approximately £11 per sq ft.

Head of Human Resources at the Human Support Group, Rachel Caulfield said yesterday: “We recently won the contract to run the City of York Council’s re-ablement and domiciliary care service.

“As we were new to the area, it was important we sourced an office central to the city with great transport links.”

Housing Support and Home Care will take up residence alongside current occupiers Balfour Beatty, Signalling Solutions and Cellhire.

Signalling Solutions was formed by combining the signalling resources and products of Alstom Transport Information Solutions UK and Balfour Beatty Rail Projects.

Cellhire specialises in short term communications rental. Apart from its headquarters in York, it has offices in London, France, Germany, Japan, China and across the US.

It has service agreements with more than 100 network partners in around 40 coun- tries.

Chris Pearson, of joint marketing agents Gavin Black said: “Our new tenant is a national operator and we are very pleased to have secured this letting against competition elsewhere in the York out-of-town area in a challenging market.”

The offices are two miles away from York city centre and are surrounded by landscaped gardens.

There is a Premier Inn and a Dormouse pub at the entrance to the park.

A spokesman estimated that the business park now has an occupancy rate of 70 to 80 per cent.

The centre has managed to retain all of its tenants over the course of the last financial year.
