Cattles restructuring talks end, seeks alternative

STRICKEN door-to-door lender Cattles said today talks with its creditors over a restructuring had broken down and it would now work to find a further solution.

Batley-based Cattles had been in talks for some time with its key financial creditors about a restructuring of its liabilities and it had said shareholders could receive 1 pence per share from a deal.

It said today that despite the breakdown in talks it would work to engage with representatives of certain other key creditors in a bid to restructure.

"Cattles believes that it remains in the interests of all parties to reach an agreement," it said.

The company had been in talks with representatives of its key financial creditors for some time after being forced to close its doors to new customers last year.
