CEG sees treble after hat trick of awards for Kirkstall Forge scheme

The prestigious BCO awards programme recognises the highest quality developments and sets the standard for excellence in the regional and national office sector.

Number One Kirkstall Forge secured the north of England, North Wales and Northern Ireland regional award putting the development into the national shortlist against the White Collar Factory in London.

The 110,000 sq ft Number One Kirkstall Forge is the first commercial building on the £400 million regeneration of the 57-acre former Forge, the oldest continually industrialised site in the UK.

A City Centre specification office development set in a riverside and woodland location, it sets the highest standard in contemporary workplace design.

BCO compliant, EPC A and BREEAM Outstanding, the building was designed to achieve the highest standards of sustainability, providing new ways of working, maximising the aspect to the natural environment and subtly reinterpreting the site’s former industrial past.

From the building’s double-height entrance hall, the design decisions maximised the spectacular views of the surrounding natural woodland and River Aire.
