Celebrating the best in the business

The best of Sheffield business will take centre stage tonight at the Sheffield Business Awards.

More than 1,000 people are expected to descend on Ponds Forge International Sports Centre for the event, organised by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

The evening, which was due to take place on December 2, was postponed due to the adverse weather conditions.

Sponsored by Elevation Recruitment, the awards received a record number of entries from a range of companies from major international organisations to start-up businesses.

Impressionist Jon Culshaw will be the host for the evening, which has a 'night at the movies' theme.

Angela Wall, events team leader at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: "The shortlist really highlights the strength and diversity of our local business community."
