Centre bags top retailer for luggage

The firm, which has 17 other shops in the UK, has moved into the Merrion Centre in the centre of Leeds.

The retailer, which has been trading for 20 years, stocks up to 50 different luggage ranges.

Amandip Singh Sandhu, chief executive of Bags4U, said: “We wanted to open our first shop in Yorkshire in the city of Leeds and the Merrion Centre was the obvious choice.

“It’s a well-established shopping centre with a broad retail base and a good cross-section of shoppers.”

Susan Mendoza, centre manager, added: “We’re really pleased Bags4U selected the Merrion Centre for their first store in Yorkshire.

“We currently don’t have a luggage specialist so it’s fantastic to add Bags4U to the good range of shops we already offer visitors to the centre.”
