The firm has almost doubled its office space with the move from Baildon Mills, Bradford, to 6,000 sq ft premises in Saltaire, where it has taken on a 10-year lease.

Cimlogic, which specialises in industrial automation and manufacturing execution systems, said it is also looking to recruit five senior staff to help increase turnover from £2m to £2.6m in the next 12 months, on the back of “consistent growth” over the last two years.

Manufacturing execution systems work in real time to enable the control of multiple elements of the production process.

The business said that increased demand for lean manufacturing and improved efficiency using the latest IT systems and technologies have boosted sales.

Cimlogic works with household names in the food and beverage, medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries including Amazon, Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Weetabix and Wrigley.

Managing director Mike Hodge set up the business in 1997 and now runs it alongside director, James Sykes, employing 26 staff.

Mr Hodge said: “UK manufacturing gets some bad press, but it really is a powerhouse. The key to staying competitive is increasing efficiency, and this is where IT systems linked to lean manufacturing can help.

“Countries like the USA have embraced this way of working and many companies in the UK are now seeing the benefits. We provide software solutions which enable companies to achieve world class manufacturing, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement goals.

“Moving to Salts Mill will give us double the space we have currently and excellent transport links, as well as allowing us to provide a dedicated customer training facility.”
