Communications practitioners’ work celebrated at awards night
The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards featured a total of 19 categories, with Umpf, Prohibition and Yorkshire Building Society among the winners.
The awards ceremony, which was held at Aspire in Leeds, was hosted by regional broadcast journalist Gaynor Barnes.

Hide AdMs Barnes said: “We are here tonight to celebrate those who are leading the way in public relations and communications across Yorkshire.”
St John Ambulance took the Gold Award for Regional Campaign of the Year for “First Aid For All” - launched to increase its presence and first aid output in Leeds to adults and young people.
Katie Mallinson from Scriba PR took home the Outstanding Young Communicator award.
Umpf took home the Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy gong. Multiple Gold Award winners on the night included Grayling, Northern Powergrid and Wolfstar.

Hide AdPaul Amourdedieu, chair of CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, said: “If anything proves that we’re punching above our weight as a region, it’s the quality of the entries on display at this year’s Awards.
“It’s an exciting time for public relations, which is becoming more influential in both the workplace and in organisations of all types.”
