Communisis confirms the loss of eight jobs

Marketing SERVICES firm Communisis yesterday confirmed that it had made eight staff redundant at its Leeds-based creative services business and transferred the work to London.

However, Communisis stressed that the core of its creative services offering – called Ingenious Rapport – would be staying in Leeds.

Malcolm Cotton, the managing director of digital at Communisis, said that the company had closed “one small part of the business”.

He said Ingenious Rapport still had 30 staff based in Leeds.

He added: “We intend to focus on the skills sets those guys have and grow that over the next 12 months.”

In 2010, Communisis hired Phil Dean, a creative industry heavyweight, to develop a creative business. Mr Dean did not respond to a request for comment yesterday.
