Communisis expands in the global market

MARKETING services provider Communisis yesterday revealed that its full year trading performance was in line with the board’s expectations, after a period in which it expanded its global connections.

In a trading update, Leeds-based Communisis, said the group’s client-led international expansion had continued during the year, with around seven per cent of total revenues derived from overseas sources in 2012.

In 2011, this figure was four per cent.

Net debt at December 31 2012 was around £21m.

The statement added: “The group’s pipeline remains strong and the new business that has already been secured, such as the recently announced contract awards by British Telecommunications and Nationwide Building Society, will contribute from early in 2013.”

Last week, Communisis revealed that it had won a nine-year contract with Nationwide, Britain’s biggest building society.

Communisis said it will develop and produce customer communications for the mutual lender.

These will include transactional, marketing and regulatory mailings.

No value was put on the contract.

The award followed a strategic review by Nationwide to decide the best way to communicate with its customers.
