Communisis secures £30m contract with mobile giant

MARKETING specialist Communisis has won a three-year contract worth up to £30m with T-Mobile and Orange’s parent company Everything Everywhere, which is now the UK’s biggest mobile phone operator.

The Leeds-based company said the contract will begin later this month and will generate revenues of up to £10m a year for the next three years.

Communisis said the contract represents a significant extension of its existing relationship with T-Mobile UK.

Under the terms of the contract Communisis will support Everything Everywhere and its brands in their campaigns and initiatives to communicate with customers and tell them about the benefits now that it has brought T-Mobile and Orange under one umbrella.

Communisis had previously worked on T-Mobile’s in-store visuals.

Communisis said it will be responsible for the efficient sourcing, accurate production and effective delivery of a complex range of direct and indirect marketing.

These will include in-store visuals, direct mail, publications and outdoor advertising such as posters. Andy Blundell, chief executive of Communisis, said: “This is a key win for Communisis and we are delighted to be expanding our relationship with such an important company in the UK telecommunications sector.

“Everything Everywhere is an ambitious business with a keen understanding of what great marketing can achieve when it is supported by rigorous process and cutting-edge technology.

“We look forward to combining both our marketing sourcing expertise and our unique, internally developed technologies in helping Everything Everywhere to flex the unique brand identities of T-Mobile and Orange.”

2011 is proving to be a lucrative year for Communisis.

In January it announced two long-term contracts with The Post Office and Government outsourcing firm Liberata, which it said would boost operations in its key target markets.

Communisis was reappointed by The Post Office to source and provide IT and stationery to The Post Office’s network of 11,500 branches.

It has also entered an exclusive partnership with Liberata, which is now owned by Leeds-based private equity firm Endless, to produce statement and billing services for over 10 local authority clients in a deal worth £2m a year.

Communisis said that both agreements will run for five years.

The company has separately secured a contract extension with Barclays until 2015.

Communisis said trading in the year to December 31 was in line with management expecta- tions.

It said that both the Intelligence Driven Communications and Specialist Production and Sourcing divisions showed good momentum during the second half.
