National Rail services are not affected by the strike but there is no Underground service to King’s Cross, where most Yorkshire services terminate, or to other hubs.

Additionally, trans between Leeds, York, Doncasater and London were this morning hit by cancellations and hour-long delays after a person was hit by a train, blocking all lines between Newark and Retford.

Network Rail said services between Doncaster and Grantham were being delayed by up to 60 minutes, with disruption expected to last through the morning.
