The company started exporting to Spain and Canada 11 years ago, and hopes to increase its international trade by targeting new markets with an appetite for Yorkshire puddings. Mark Vines, HSBC Regional Commercial Director for Yorkshire and the North East, said: “We have a long-standing relationship with The Real Yorkshire Pudding Company and we have watched as it has evolved from a fledgling business into the success it is today. The business is entering an exciting phase and we look forward to continuing to support the management team as they enter new markets, target new customers and enjoy new growth.”

The HSBC team, led by relationship manager Richard Baggaley, has looked after The Real Yorkshire Pudding company’s banking requirements since it was incorporated 15 years ago, initially providing the business with a commercial mortgage for the development of its factory. It has grown to become one of the largest manufacturer of chilled Yorkshire puddings in the UK. Last year, the company, which employs 100 staff, achieved turnover of £6.8m.
