Company car deal for Leeds-based firm

ALLIANCE Medical, the world's biggest independent diagnostic imaging services company, has outsourced the management of its 300 company cars to the Leeds-based Zenith Provecta.

Zenith Provecta will provide a full fleet management system, including servicing, maintenance, and accident and risk management.

Steven Horton, head of procurement for Alliance Medical, said: "Our primary objective was to work with a fleet management company that could provide our employees with a high quality service at a competitive cost."

Zenith Provecta became the UK's largest independent fleet management company after the acquisition, in May 2008, of Provecta Car Plan, a company which specialises in employee car ownership.

Zenith Provecta provides fleet funding and management services for company and employee-owned vehicles. Altogether, it manages a fleet of more than 27,000 vehicles.

Clients include many blue chip organisations such as BP, Leeds-based supermarket chain Asda, Atkins, DuPont (UK), Ernst & Young and York-based Persimmon Homes.

In February, it was revealed that Zenith Provecta had appointed Mark Connor to the new role of head of operations.

He joined Zenith Provecta from Lex, the vehicle leasing and driver services firm, where he worked for seven years in senior management roles.
