Concorde takes off with £500,000 IT contracts

A YORKSHIRE-based IT group has secured contracts with a total value of more than £500,000. Concorde IT is poised to secure more work in 2014.

The company has secured deals with Leeds Building Society and national dry cleaning chain Johnsons Cleaners as part of a strategy to increase its market share.

The company, which has a £10m turnover and employs around 100 people, has also secured work with Kirklees Council, Care Plus Group, a provider of services to the NHS and Interserve Working Futures, a contractor with the Government’s Work Programme.

In 2013, Concorde attracted more than 50 customers, completed around 220 IT projects, and won several awards.

The company’s team of engineers travelled more than 487,000 miles to ensure IT systems were working properly.

Group managing director Neil Roberts said, “Despite it being a tough economic year, we embraced new challenges, continued to grow by expanding our team and geographic reach, and most importantly, went over and above to meet the requests of our customers.

“Our approach for 2014 will be much of the same; to build on the successes of the previous year and continue to deliver the services that our customers want.
