Contract win for Lighthouse Group

LIGHTHOUSE Group, the network of IFAs, said today it had won a three year contract with members of The Association of Heads and Deputes (AHDS) to provide financial planning advice.

The Aim-listed group, which has a significant operation in Leeds with 250 advisers, said Lighthouse Financial Advice was gaining “significant traction” in its network of affinity partners.

AHDS represents a major proportion of senior teaching staff and school leaders in Scotland, with membership drawn from promoted teachers in Scotland’s primary, nursery and additional support needs schools.

Greg Dempster, General Secretary of AHDS, said: “AHDS is delighted to enter into a three year exclusive partnership with Lighthouse Financial Advice to provide our members with advice on savings, investments and pensions. We have great confidence in the professionalism of Lighthouse Financial Advice, and as part of our agreement LFA will be recognised as an AHDS Key Partner - the first to receive this designation - and we will work together to make valuable financial services available to members, including an extensive pre-retirement programme, across Scotland.”

Malcolm Streatfield, joint chief executive of Lighthouse, said: “We are pleased to continue to add to the affinity groups that we work with, and we look forward to providing AHDS members with financial advice. We are also delighted to be named as the first AHDS Key Partner, which further strengthens our relationship.”

In March Lighthouse reported growth for 2010 despite challenging times for the financial advice market. The sector has been hit by the broader economic turmoil as it prepares for major regulatory changes through the Government’s retail distribution review.
