Cottage holiday company puts down roots in the Dales

FOUR jobs have been created in the Yorkshire Dales after cottages4you, one of Britain’s biggest cottage holiday providers, opened its first regional office in Grassington.

Cottages4you, which has more than 10,000 properties across the UK, will use the retail unit as “a one stop shop”.

Nick Rudge, the managing director of cottages4you, which is based in Earby, Lancashire, said: “Our research also told us that owners value a local presence and while our 47 UK-based regional managers will still be first port of call for them, the high street location will provide a place where both our owners and customers will be able to pop in and speak to someone who can help.

“We place a great deal of importance on supporting rural communities, ensuring we promote local businesses to our holidaymakers through our Go Local campaign, so it’s a natural next step for us to have a physical presence in the heart of the communities we work in.

“Grassington seems the obvious place to start, as we have 230 owners within a 45-minute drive of the site and we hope this could be the start of a network of local offices around the country.”

The company is part of the 
Hoseasons Group, which has a portfolio of more than 27,000 properties across the UK and Europe.
