Council’s grant help for SMEs

A GRANT scheme has been launched by Leeds City Council to help small and medium-sized businesses expand and recruit new staff.

The Business Growth Fund comes from the legacy programme of the Leeds Local Enterprise Growth Initiative which ended in March. It is open to independent businesses based across Leeds with less than 250 staff.

Tom Riordan, chief executive of Leeds City Council, said yesterday: “The LEGI programme may have ended but enterprise support from the council continues.”
