Cranes a sign of work in progress

Construction of the £350m Trinity Leeds shopping centre scheme is picking up pace with the arrival of the second tower crane. The 160ft high cranes are working in unison as the first structural steelwork goes into place.

Andrew Dudley, leading the 30-month development project for Land Securities Retail, said: "While construction work progresses, we are preparing for the demolition of Provincial House, which fronts onto Albion Street. Hoardings are being erected in readiness for this phase of the project, which will be a prelude to the 10m rejuvenation of this key thoroughfare."
