Dine still the king of castle catering

CATERING and events group Dine said turnover will increase by about £600,000 a year after it extended its contract with Allerton Castle.

The partnership, which was first signed in November 2006, offers an events service for the corporate, private and wedding markets at the castle and the wider estate and will now run until 2016.

Daniel Gill, managing director of Dine, said: “We are extremely proud of our relationship with Allerton Castle and are delighted to secure the partnership until 2016. Allerton is one of the most spectacular venues in the country – people who view the venue are often rendered speechless by the condition of the interior, which has been beautifully and expertly restored.”

Dr Gerald Rolph, owner of the castle, said: “The success of this partnership is due to the long-term commitment shown by The Rolph Foundation to this beautiful historic building and the team at Dine, whose commitment and premier service has elevated Allerton Castle to one of the most sought-after event and wedding venues in the UK.”

The clients of Leeds-based Dine have included figures from Yorkshire’s corporate elite such as Sir Ken Morrison and Paul Sykes.

Allerton Castle, near Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, is a nineteenth century Gothic castle surrounded by more than 100 acres of parkland and gardens.
