Dispo moves into bigger new home

A WHOLESALE catering disposable supplier has found a bigger home as it prepares to grow.

Dispo International is moving to larger premises in Whitwood near Castleford, West Yorkshire, on the back of rising sales.

The deal involved the acquisition of offices and warehouses which were twice the size of Dispo’s former base in Normanton, West Yorkshire.

Now based in Pioneer Way, Castleford, the firm’s directors plan to increase the size of the company’s workforce and product range. The company has 18 staff and a turnover of around £4m.

Ann Verheyen, a director at Dispo International, said: “Due to year on year growth, it was essential we move to new premises that were able to accommodate the business for the foreseeable future.

“As we move into new marketplaces and develop our product range, we needed a larger storage facility and better access to major transport routes.”

The real estate work related to the move was carried out by Leeds-based law firm Shulmans.

Simon Jackson, the head of commercial property at Shulmans, said: “Negotiations were conducted simultaneously on the sale of the previous site and the acquisition of the new one in order to effect a swift move from one to the other.”
