Doncaster Sheffield Airport named the best in the UK
A survey of passengers by consumer magazine Which? showed the airport to be the top choice for passengers, who praised its short queues, facilities and speedy baggage claim process.
The accolade comes as Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) tries to enact ambitious plans to expand with an direct rail route to London and a vastly increased passenger capacity, plans that Which? said could make it the go-to airport for holidaymakers in the North.

Hide AdLondon Luton was rated the worst airport in the UK, with all of the nation’s large airports criticised for long queues at both security and passport control.
Robert Hough, Chairman of Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said: “This is great recognition of the exceptional customer service offered by every single member of the team. We have always set out to deliver a top class passenger experience, it’s what people should enjoy when at an airport.”
Rory Boland, Which? Travel editor said: “Travellers want to start their trips in the smoothest way, but long queues through airports and a lack of facilities can cast a rain cloud over any getaway.
