Dormer makes the cut in international market

The Sheffield-based business will unveil two new additions to its Spectrum range of high performance multi-material tools.

Dormer said the range provides long tool life and excellent reliability in most engineering materials.

The company is part of Sweden’s Sandvik Group and has sales units in more than 40 countries covering 100 markets.

Dormer was founded in Sheffield in 1913.

Today, its expertise is in the manufacture of cutting tools – primarily drills, reamers, taps and milling cutters – in solid carbide and high speed steel.

It is based at the Advanced Manufacturing Park near Rotherham.
