The Dragons' Den team will be on stand 63 to talk about the application process and the first steps towards facing the multi-millionaire invest-ors.

They will also have their pick of 40 of Yorkshire's top young science and technology businesses in the Innovation Showcase, as well as eight young entrepreneurs who will pitch to Venturefest judges to be in with a chance of winning a prize package worth more than 28,000.

Alex McWhirter, assistant director of enterprise at Yorkshire Forward, who are key supporters of Venturefest, said: "The presence of the Dragons' Den team goes to show there is a high level of expectation surrounding the event, and this is based on the successes of those companies that have taken part in the past.

"Venturefest has been a hotbed for innovative ideas and fledgling businesses for seven years and each year the bar seems to be raised another notch."
