Editorial agency lands major deal

An editorial design agency based in Otley has secured a big internal communications contract with a telecoms giant formed following the Orange and T-Mobile merger.

Words&Pictures has been hired by Everything Everywhere to produce its bi-monthly employee magazine Everyone and supporting online material.

Seven national agencies were invited to present their approach and creativity in a pitch process that lasted three months, for what is one of the biggest internal communications contracts within the sector this year.

Words&Pictures won the contract after impressing the judging panel by producing a fully-printed version of the magazine and an online video.

Tony Layton, Words&Pictures managing director, hailed the win as an "amazing team effort".

He said: "We're looking to produce internal communications solutions for Everything Everywhere which will now compete on a global stage."

Stuart Jackson, brand communications director of Everything Everywhere, said the agency won the contract thanks to "a mix of energy, creativity, spirit and determination".
